Tough Guy

Decided to do a doodle before I go to bed.  

Just wanted to draw a tough guy face really.
Used Ron Perlman and Lou Ferrigno as reference.

After drawing it I kind of wanted to draw variations because I'm positive I could come up with a cooler looking mug if I just pushed things a bit more.

But I'm sleepy and I really shouldn't be spending a lot of time on this stuff in the first place haha.

I'll save that for another day.

Funny how I start doing these kinds of things when I have something like a film to do...

Had no idea what to draw today.  Ended up with this space alien cowboy thing.

I realize I don't draw women a lot when I sketch.  Mainly because I find it so hard.

Gonna try drawing them more often.

being in a nearly empty lab at odd hours leads to lots of these moments.

couldn't sleep, decided I might as well try designing the forest animals for my film.

I always find it hard to simplify things.

I'm already wishing I had more time.  

These animals don't have a lot of screen time but I still wish I could spend a whole semester designing and animating them.

gotta tell myself to just get these guys done quickly and that I can't spend time to make them the way I want :(

my teacher asked me to animate something with overlapping action during class.  

I started off with ambitious dreams for my animation.

But then I realized I needed to finish before class ended.

I also realized I had no idea how to draw any of the things I wanted to animate.

Soon after I decided today wasn't the day for animation glory.

I then pooped this out.

I liked that movie.  very funny.

And the characters were very interesting to look at.  

Maybe I'll draw some of the others!

Sherlock

I started watching BBC's Sherlock on Netflix and I couldn't stop watching.  

I recommend it if you haven't seen or heard of it.

They turn each case into a feature length episode!
