Daily Sketch 24 - Knock Out

Lots of work finished, lots of work still to do.

Sorry, this is all I could manage today.

Finished!

I changed the pose a bit from the sketch I uploaded earlier.

After sketching it I really wanted to add a little more to it.

So here's a more polished piece.  Definitely passed a couple hours with the additions.  

So much fun messing with colors and poses.

In the end I think I'm still missing something...

Well it finally happened, I missed a day :(

I was actually in mid sketch but decided to take a nap since I had "plenty of time"

Well I just woke up a little while ago and wouldn't you know it, the day's over.

Anyways, here it is. 

It's a lady horse rider with a sword.

I actually may be stopping my daily drawings soon.

This is mainly because I feel like I'm spamming everyone's blog feed with my daily sketch without really making them worth looking at.

So either I'll have to step it up and try and make them all worth seeing or I'll just stop with the daily uploads.

Did a Daily Sketch with a group today!

The theme was Swamp Titan.

Daily sketches are always limited to an hour or less

But I really wanted to try coloring this piece like an old comic book...

So above is the sketch version and the colored version which took a little longer.

Every once in a while I try to redesign characters I like.

Here's a sketch of the Iron Giant. 

I think I could've pushed it more but right now I'm sticking to a time limit.

It's fun to try and make a piece the best you can make it in a short amount of time.

cowboys are cool

Sketch for the morning!

Saw a video recently of a guy who taped himself as a 12 year old and 20 years later had a conversation with himself.  

It was really funny and I recommend you watch it if you haven't.

watching it reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend recently. 

During which I talked a bit about myself as a kid.

One of them being that at a certain age, I genuinely wanted to be a cowboy.

I'd walk around with the hat, neck tie, boots, and of course a cap gun.

The full gear really.

I thought cowboys were the coolest.

I remember doing so at random moments during the week.

At church especially...

Thinking back, I'm starting to think I was a pretty cool kid.

And I know back then I thought I was pretty cool too... because I was a cowboy.

whatever happened to that cool kid...?

Thinking back made me smile a bit.

Maybe I'll do some more sketches of other stuff I remember haha.
